Hong Kong News Agency, March 13 — Beijing and Chicago jointly announced — an international collaboration that breaks through geographical boundaries and embodies the spirit of artistic integration is about to begin.
World-renowned Chinese embroidery master Zhu Juncheng and renowned American minimalist artist Tatyana Markovtsev have joined hands to launch a global art embroidery series under the brand name “Yi Ran Xiu,” presenting the unique concept of “East-West integration, co-creation by masters.”
This collaboration was conceived and driven throughout by Feng Yan, Executive Director of Beijing Xiuzhentang Culture and Art Co., Ltd. With visionary insight and unremitting efforts, Mr. Yan facilitated the collaboration between Feel The Line artist Tatyana Markovtsev and Master Zhu Juncheng and his brand “Yi Ran Xiu,” forging a bridge across cultures and art forms and creating a highly innovative international art alliance.
Two Masters, One Vision
- Zhu Juncheng — a transformative figure in contemporary Chinese art and craft, Chinese Arts and Crafts Master, expert receiving the State Council Government Special Allowance, leader of a Chinese national-level skilled master studio, and industry professor. His innovations in the field of “random-stitch embroidery,” especially the “Yiran Embroidery” he founded by combining oil painting techniques with traditional stitching, have made him one of the most influential representatives in contemporary Chinese art and craft. He has trained thousands of embroidery talents, promoted national cultural policy innovation, and created artworks for more than sixty global political figures and 76 Fortune Global 500 corporate leaders. Master Zhu Juncheng’s works are held in collections by multiple international art institutions and private collectors, and he is widely recognized as the founder of China’s “fifth major embroidery school — random-stitch embroidery.”
- Tatyana Markovtsev — internationally award-winning artist and co-founder of Feel The Line. Although she entered the art field later in life, she quickly developed a distinctive minimalist line art style, gaining global attention for its purity of emotion and elegance of form. Her artworks have reached audiences in more than 150 countries and have been exhibited in numerous major international art exhibitions. Tatyana was shortlisted three times and won the gallery award at Asia’s largest art event, ART Revolution Taipei (2016–2019). Her works have been included in more than 30 international publications, applied in psychotherapy to help patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression, and used in academic projects studying human and artificial intelligence visual perception.

In this collaboration, Master Zhu Juncheng’s elite studio will transform some of Tatyana’s original works into pure handmade embroidery art pieces, achieving the integration of Western minimalist design and Eastern craft aesthetics at the highest level.
