Tatyana Markovtseva and her brand Feel the Line: she is a renowned American minimalist painter. She was born in Moscow and later moved to Chicago, USA. Her works outline figures with simple and lively lines, smooth and full of charm. This line art demonstrates her exquisite skills and the unique charm of minimalism.
Her initial job was a software engineer, and later she focused on minimalist painting. So far, she has presented more than 500 works to the public. Her paintings are very popular in the United States and have also attracted many fans around the world.
Tatyana’s paintings mainly focus on women, outlining the complex emotional world of women through simple and beautiful lines. The women in her paintings possess Eastern female characteristics, with graceful and delicate figures and varied expressions. In May 2025, Beijing Xiuzhentang successfully reached a copyright licensing agreement with Master Tatyana and her Feel the Line; subsequently, it promoted Master Tatyana and Master Zhu Juncheng and his studio to start a landmark East-West art cooperation. Zhu Juncheng’s studio, using his original Yiran Embroidery method, transformed the representative works in Tatyana’s minimalist line series Feel The Line into meticulously crafted handmade silk embroidery. Master Zhu’s innovations in silk thread overlay dyeing, fine needle embroidery, and layered color blending have given Tatyana’s flowing and modern lines a new dimension while maintaining their original purity and power. Each work is born in a rigorous and almost ritualistic process, integrating her contemporary visual language with China’s embroidery tradition stretching for thousands of years, allowing the spirits of East and West to meet and resonate in the same picture.
In this continuously developing cooperation, Beijing Xiuzhentang is the initiator and leader. Tatyana has authorized Beijing Xiuzhentang the exclusive right to use the copyright of her original paintings in the global embroidery field.
Under the leadership of Beijing Xiuzhentang and the American Feel the Line, what initially was merely a copyright use authorization has been elevated to a cross-cultural “Master Co-creation” project, becoming an epic East-West cultural dialogue and practice.
